On the morning of Wednesday 1st March 2017, I woke up at 5:00am with a discomfort in my abdomen. It felt like my tummy was bloated and I asked my wife for magnesium tablets which I took and put my head down hoping it would wear off. I remained under the weather as I drove my daughter to school. A journey that is normally full of joy and conversation saw me hand my phone to her to keep her quiet because I was in pain.
It was by Gods grace that I made the journey to the clinic because the 15-minute holdup that happened 300 meters away from the nearest medical facility felt like an entire month. I got into the parking of the clinic, walked out of the car, and at this time I could not stand straight. The pain was unbearable!
The 10 minutes of triage felt like another week, then I was given a pain killer that I was warned would get me drowsy and weak, fortunately by the time that kicked in, I had already that time I had sent out SOS messages to Jeremy with whom I was to have a meeting together with Mozse, and my wife whom I had summoned to come as soon as possible. Mozse and Jeremy arrived and I handed them my valuables to keep, they said a prayer and handed over to my wife Vasta who had arrived at the time.
The relief by the medication was great, blood was drawn and tests made showed that I was low on blood sugars, I also had an ultra sound scan that showed that I had an inflamed appendix and enlarged prostate. The doctor’s diagnosis was “Acute Appendicitis”. I was immediately placed on a Fast and preparations for theatre started. The surgeon was due to meet with me at 3pm and that’s when the final decision would be made so that I get moved to the theatre.
The surgeon was delayed and arrived at 5pm, he asked me to do some simple physical tests and I passed all of them. The tests results and what he was seeing was a contradiction. He then placed me on medication and asked to observe me for a few days.
The next day, my wife and I went to a bigger Hospital for a second opinion from an Appendix Specialist, Dr. Gabriel was my former school mate and we kicked off with conversation on old school times. He then examined me and didn’t see anything. He requested a scan which I did and it turned out to be a comedy act. The nurse asked me to drink lots of water and when I felt like going to the toilet I should tell her and they do the tests then, after 15 minutes and about 2 liters of water intake, I felt my bladder really full I rushed to the nurse and she asked me to hold on. “How long will this be?” I asked, “like 10 minutes.” she responded. “I don’t think I can hold it that long, nurse.” At this point she said, just go and remove some, we’ll top up when you’re turn comes. I looked round for prank camera’s in vain…lol (anyway, this is a story for another day). The senior radiographer failed to see my appendix and not even the Hernia that was suspected to have cause the massive pain. I jokingly asked him to see if he could see my heart to which he responded, I don’t, I think your wife has it!
I took the results to Dr. Gabriel and he asked me to stop all medication and said if I felt anything I should call him.
Later that evening as I pondered all these things I heard voice ask me, DO YOU BELIEVE IN SUPERNATURAL HEALING? My answer, YES. The next instruction was USE THE WORD OF YOUR TESTIMONY NOW! – I typed a message that I sent out to people in obedience.
If you, like me are indeed an emerging leader, who is leading you?
They have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;
and they did not love their lives so as to shy away from death. – Rev. 12:11
